New Bags in Need12.24.09

I bought a FEB 29 bag only March 2009. It’s now nearly in pieces with the man-made leather being tortured with my overloading. I really should have bought a bigger bag but that would mean my shoulders will be taking a huge beating too.

Sometimes, I really wonder how some ladies can squeeze their things into bags like the ones below.

ALDO Casargo - Women Clutches

A golden clutch from Aldo.

A really cute Mi-Ki dog bag from Fuzzy Nation.

Personally, I can’t fill in much if I were to own such bags. Hence, I’m looking at alternative bag options such as the famous Taiwan online shops: PG Mall and Sky Blue (BiGi Bags). The thing about such shops is that they are super cheap excluding the risk of lousy customer service and whether your selection will be available for delivery. Let’s not forget the risk of the items being lost either.

I’m not saying it’s a bad idea to order from them since the materials are average and the bag designs do look great, just that with my method of torturing my bags, I doubt very much that they’ll last me 5 months.

Therefore, I wanted to find an easier way to own the bags even if they can’t last me that long. I’ve decided that such bags should be small so that they can’t be tortured by me too much. I sound like a slave driver of bags.

I found the following sites that facilitates the bags delivery in Singapore dollars. Saves me a whole lot of trouble trying to convert the Taiwan dollars into Singapore dollars and some trouble understanding the Chinese (my grasp of Chinese is often in need of improvement).

  • PG Mall (price is a little higher than at the original site since they provide the service. Mixture of Sky Blue and PG Mall bags.)
  • Fashion Gateway (prices for some designs are a little steeper. I have no idea why)

For those PG Mall bag lovers, I have new bags for sale. A white and a black. I realised that I won’t be using them because they are too small for me. I have other bags for sale too.

Merry Christmas!

What to Do When You Need Money?12.03.08

I love money. Hands up for those who don’t! There! See? Nobody has their hands up! All your hands are on the mouse and the keyboard, right? I clever, right? :P

When one is rich, what does one do? Buy property and stuff. When one is poor, what does one do? Sell the assets to raise the funds just so one can eat and take the public transport. Check out Claudia’s Garage and Bazaar, the latter is obviously by yours truly.

I have rummaged for stuff in my closet and cabinets. I realised that I have kept all my birthday gifts up there somewhere and never used them. What a waste. I have cups, wind chimes, teddy bears and many more. So, why are they in the cupboards? I don’t want them to get dirty! They are gifts from my friends even though I have lost contact with a few of them.

Unfortunately, I need the money. So, do I sell them off? Will you kill me if I do that?

I have found textbooks that are more than 8 years old. I seriously doubt that anyone would want to buy such old books. One of them is worst for the wear too. I have the full collection of Samurai X comic books in Chinese that I will be keeping for my own collection since they are no longer in mint condition.

I will be selling off the stuff that I have dug out from my closet and cupboards since I am no longer needing them and most of them are still in their original packaging. I wonder why on earth do I buy them when I don’t even use them. Oh wait, the shopping streak in me.

Shopping is A Favourite Pastime06.28.08

SAN FRANCISCO - NOVEMBER 24: Jasmine Bee takes a break from shopping at the Westfield Shopping center on

Ah, shopping. Something that is bound to happen at one point or the other. The main thing is whether the money is enough. I have been bitten by the shopping bug these days. It’s really a bad way because I am going to be jobless and the money will trickle to practically NIL if I still don’t have any backups.

I have bought clothes online and still pending the arrival. Orange Bear seems to be pretty quiet on the orders. It’s unfortunate that MC’s grandmother passed away recently. There isn’t time for NL to update us on the orders yet.

I love earrings. I have too many and yet I still feel that they aren’t enough. DD shook his head about my obsession with earrings. The main reason why I started online sprees is because I hate salespersons breathing down my neck while I’m browsing through the aisles. I may not know the promotion for certain range but when I’m browsing, don’t breathe down my neck or within 1 metres as I can’t think with someone else looking at my hands as if I would still their goods. It’s not as if I can’t pay.

The downside to shopping at the shops is the squeezing of the crowded trains and buses after buying. One or two large sized shopping bags is enough to make the trip home torture when there is a huge crowd.

I have been on the hunt for the right foundation colours for years until HY mentioned that she is using mineral makeup from Pure Luxe. It stays on for hours despite her oily parts of the face. The powder stays. You can witness it when you just press the tissue paper on the face oil. Very little of the powder will come off. I haven’t done a proper review. Been meaning to until Rinaz mentioned it. I have found another makeup lover.

I hope to get some nice before and after photos to post. Shopping is a bug that I can’t get rid of.

Kids Have No Manners These Days!12.01.07

It must be my bad day. Or just my luck to bump into 2 idiots. No, wait. I can’t label them. I just had bad encounters, that’s all. Now, why did I encounter them? First, I was at NTUC with my mum and we were buying the food stuffs. While waiting, I got stuck in the tiny aisle and decided to look for my mum who said she was going to get a basket. I was looking after the trolley so, I wanted to push it.

However, there was this young boy who was in the middle of it and I said, “Excuse me,” politely, mind you. He stood to the side and shook his head at me as if I was the idiot who didn’t know how to phase through him. “Tsk tsk tsk” was all he said. Look, boy, I am not David Copperfield. I can’t do magic. Neither am I Criss Angel. So, you don’t “tsk” at me. Maybe I should have scolded him, “You were the ONE WHO BLOCKED THE PATH! HOW DARE YOU THINK I’M WRONG! 没家教!” Kids, these days, have no manners.

After that, I went to find my mum who was choosing the vegetables. While walking around the aisles, I encountered a mother who was pushing the trolley. I was looking at the milk and all she did was to push the trolley into me. Like I can phase through, yeah, I should really ask David Copperfield or some magician who knows such magic to teach me. She didn’t even mentioned “Sorry” or “Excuse me”. Her kid in the trolley won’t learn anything from her.

Thankfully, I didn’t meet any more such idiots rude people. The way home was laden with cat litter, rice, milk (8 packets of 1 litre, I think) and other food. The trolley, no, not those from NTUC, had a punctured wheel because it was laden with 60kg of weight. Poor trolley. May you rest in peace pieces.

Wedding Outfit Woes11.19.07

I spent 2 hours at the hair salon for my scalp treatment. Actually, I was late by 20 minutes. I think I caught the “late” bug from someone. Anyway, since I had to get a nice outfit for the coming wedding, 24th Nov isn’t too far away, I went down to Vivocity as it seemed to have more variety of clothes.

Aye, there was a wide variety alright. I tried a bustier that costs $249. I looked average in it. For a wedding dinner, I doubt it was really worth it to wear it. Although I could still wear it to another dinner next month, I felt that it was simply too expensive. I have to look for another outfit before the wedding.

I still have to make sure the shoes will go with the outfit and I don’t think I have any nice pair to go with. I haven’t found a wedding-ish bag either. I wonder why am I shopping for such things until the very week the dinner is to be held.

I wonder if I’d be able to get anything that is worthy of being the receptionist dress at the dinner too. I’m still the receptionist next month.
