Europe Rugby Game02.02.08

Men tend to love sports like rugby and soccer. Every time the screen shows up a group of men racing with each other for the ball, the men go wild. They start to give instructions via the television to the players that they should look out for this guy behind him, that guy on the right, the one on the left and more.

The most exciting among them could be the rugby game. It’s a game where 2 teams race each other to get the highest possible points. Europe’s rugby is different from American’s rugby in terms of costumes for the game. I’m saying it as my point of view.

American rugby tend to look violent to me as they go all out to hit the opponents down with some ending up with torn ligaments or broken ankle. You can find fansites about rugby, the game fixtures, schedules, tournaments and championships. You can also find out sports news where they give all the vital details of the players besides their joined dates.

Fly Kite at West Coast Park01.26.08

Kite flying [via Flickr]

Flying kites in Singapore often means East Coast Park or Marina South. I was rather surprised that we would be at West Coast Park to fly kites. Someone was in charged of buying the kites and all we had to do was to turn up. Turn up we did.

I had the common sense to bring a bag with mats. It was a good thing too. Although my friends teased me for bringing such a huge bag, again. At this moment, it’s best to ignore when others laugh at you. However, we chose the wrong place. The sun was setting and the wind was blowing towards the sun, meaning we had to face the sun when our kites got flying.

I just let the kite go and it fly up high. Twice. Without any help. I’m a good kite flyer. Got these genes from my father, obviously. The second time, I got my string tangled with another kite and it got stuck high up in the tree. I had to break the string. So sad. Kite flying instructions here and here.

After dinner, we went to Settlers Cafe at Holland Village. It’s a fun place for small talk and board games. Officially tired from kite flying and playing exciting brain games at Settlers Cafe.

I didn’t have to spend too much today since there is someone who is very nice, drove us to and back.

The Young Businessman is My Slave01.01.08

I have a slave. For 2 days. This was because Cris, the Young Businessman decided to test my knowledge of him. He promised to be my slave for 2 days if I can guess his age. What an easy guess. It was all over the blog. And just in case you are thinking that I hopped over to his blog, I did. But that guess wasn’t during my blog hopping. I was testing out my themes. I had remembered during my final guess (3 guesses) to correctly guess his age.

Now, he’s my slave. He will be doing the following:

  1. Get more traffic for my blog.
  2. Get more RSS subscribers for my blog.
  3. Troubleshoot a theme.
  4. Serve me some tea and cheesecakes whenever I like
  5. Get me some good masseur.
  6. Design a logo for this blog.
  7. Find me some sexy dancers.
  8. Show me a pole dance with him dressed up as a sexy male dancer.

That should be all for these 2 days to keep him busy. Ah, being served by a slave sure is cool.

Frog Game, If I have a Million06.16.06

I really don’t know how some people have the talent for creating the frog game. It’s not in English but there’s not a lot of things to click. I managed to get it after drawing the steps out on paper. Duh, back to caveman standards, huh? The poor trees.

I wonder how some people can use Macromedia Flash with such ease. I keep having difficulties using it. Maybe I don’t have the creativeness or whatever that is to undertake the task of creating a simple Flash banner.

Anyway, my mum had this colleague who would sing “Nah sih wa wo ji ba ban, ji ba ban, wa beh je puey gee, wa beh yew seh gai”. That’s everyone’s dream, ain’t it? To tour the world if we have a million. However, million in different currencies is different in values. However, the Hokkien song is quite funny.
