For My Dear Friend12.06.07

To my dear friends who are getting married, I feel very happy for you. I’m not one who is verbal with my blessings. For ES and WW, I’m very glad that I was part of the morning and evening entourage. While it was both fun and tiring, I’m glad that the two of you are going to be working together as husband and wife.

ES, as your good friend through these years, I was very touched that the photo of us was used in your photo montage. We had some great time during our few trips out together. You were always offering your shoulder to comfort me during my sad periods. Thank you.

Now, I should offer the both of you my blessings. I wish that you’ll live in harmony, with good kids and celebrate your many years of marriage together in future. And I wish you good health.

Kids Have No Manners These Days!12.01.07

It must be my bad day. Or just my luck to bump into 2 idiots. No, wait. I can’t label them. I just had bad encounters, that’s all. Now, why did I encounter them? First, I was at NTUC with my mum and we were buying the food stuffs. While waiting, I got stuck in the tiny aisle and decided to look for my mum who said she was going to get a basket. I was looking after the trolley so, I wanted to push it.

However, there was this young boy who was in the middle of it and I said, “Excuse me,” politely, mind you. He stood to the side and shook his head at me as if I was the idiot who didn’t know how to phase through him. “Tsk tsk tsk” was all he said. Look, boy, I am not David Copperfield. I can’t do magic. Neither am I Criss Angel. So, you don’t “tsk” at me. Maybe I should have scolded him, “You were the ONE WHO BLOCKED THE PATH! HOW DARE YOU THINK I’M WRONG! 没家教!” Kids, these days, have no manners.

After that, I went to find my mum who was choosing the vegetables. While walking around the aisles, I encountered a mother who was pushing the trolley. I was looking at the milk and all she did was to push the trolley into me. Like I can phase through, yeah, I should really ask David Copperfield or some magician who knows such magic to teach me. She didn’t even mentioned “Sorry” or “Excuse me”. Her kid in the trolley won’t learn anything from her.

Thankfully, I didn’t meet any more such idiots rude people. The way home was laden with cat litter, rice, milk (8 packets of 1 litre, I think) and other food. The trolley, no, not those from NTUC, had a punctured wheel because it was laden with 60kg of weight. Poor trolley. May you rest in peace pieces.

Broken Family Trusts11.16.07

A father is someone who you trust because he is your family member. You won’t expect him to take advantage of you. You expect him to take care of you and love you. Unfortunately, there are fathers who betray your trust by taking advantage of you. Some even kill.

Take this father of 3 young boys from ages two to ten. He killed them by drowning them in a dam near his home in Winchelsea in the southeastern state of Victoria on September 4, 2005. How horrible.

Another father tried to make advances on his 17-year-old daughter and when he was refused, he decided to kill her and himself.

The horrible thing is when parents cage their children. The kids have to wear remote controlled shock collar, used to train animals. Why would they treat their own kids so terribly?
