@Bitter Chocolate
It was indeed hard to get rid of the practice of feeding my pig at the regular hours after his death. Mine took quite a long while to get used to stroking. Guinea pigs need time to get used to being handled as they are easily stressed. All guinea pigs are believed to be going to the Rainbow Bridge. :)

Truly sorry about your guinea pig, I know how you feel. I had three of them and they all passed away during this year and the last one. I've had them since my early teens.They were also the fierce types who'd dislike being stroked while not held :) Watching them die was hard, but the hardest part for me was actually seeing them lifeless...it's as if the body had nothing to do with what they had been, it was so different. Even now, when I open the fridge the thought of getting some carrot for the "monsters" crosses my mind every now and then before realising that... well that there's no need for that anymore. Deepest sympathy. I'm sure all guinea pigs go to a better place, as they behave by far better then most humans.
