Check-In Hard Rock Bali

Our flight was supposed to be flying off at 1855 but we took off at 1920. Oh well, at least the delay wasn’t more than an hour. The meal on board was average because number one, I had meals on board JetStar Asia (Bangkok) and SIA and none of my vegetarian meals had any meat. Garuda Indonesia gave me some sort of meat, I believe it was mutton, for my evening meal. DD looked at it and had question marks on his face. I gave to him after I had finished the Maggie Mee.

The plane itself was tiny. I didn’t have much space and envied the Executive class. We had a free transfer from the airport to Hard Rock Hotel since I had booked a package from the tour agency. The car was comfy and I tried to look out of the window en route. Unfortunately, the streets weren’t brightly lit. The only lights that come out were from the buildings.

I had told DD that we may have free upgrade to Deluxe Room since we were checking in quite late. He didn’t believe me. Well, when we reached the hotel, the guy at the reception lobby informed me that besides the free stuff like 30 minutes of foot massage, welcome drink and discounts for Hard Rock products, we had a free upgrade to Deluxe Room. Thank God, I didn’t pay more for the room.

The first thing that hit us in the face when we got to our room, with the guy being introducing all the room’s features, was the aircon. It was cold. The second thing was that the floor was covered with tiles. After a while, our luggage were brought to our room. I saw two beds. That meant I could hug a pillow! I can’t do without my bolster. Maybe I should lug my bolster along with me next time.

Just next to the hotel is Pizza Hut and other food. The McDonald sold fried chicken with rice. The same goes with KFC. They even have lucky draw for the tourists. How wonderfully clever. So, our trip to the Mac brought back some food. DD and I head back to the room for some cold aircon with the takeaways. End of the 1st day in Kuta, Bali.
