A point that has always been made across is that vegetarians are against killing animals because of the cruel ways of the livestock being killed. There have been photos circulating via email and I’ve seen them. It’s pretty gruesome. There are believers and disbelievers. We can’t control what they think or believe in. There will be desputes and this led to the following questions from a post I read.
In most of the countries like
AustreliaAustralia, the economy is mainly based on nurturing animals like lamb and they exportitstheir meat to other countries and if one day, all the people decide not to eat meat, they become failure and does it really worth? For what reasonable reason? Because of their cruelty and inhumanity? And what about the people that earn their money by killing animals and selling meats to continue their life?
Thus, if the reason for not eating meat is cruelty toward animals is not reasonable, if we think realistically rather than sensibly about this subject.
This is an intriguing post but I had some problems trying read and understand it because it’s all lump into a huge paragraph. For readability’s sake, I try to break it into meaningful paragraphs and proofread. The above is the best I could break up into because there are some incoherent parts that I couldn’t make head or tails of them.
I don’t understand why the reason for not buying meat can’t be “it’s cruelty against animals”. I seriously doubt that everyone in the world would stop buying meat and go vegetarian in a day.
I personally feel that it’s the taste of meat that keeps most people strongly unable to convert to eating meatless. I have encountered people who said they can’t stand a day without some meat. Some have described themselves as “carnivores”.
It is believed that plants are eaten because they don’t have souls. They are not reincarnated from souls. The cycle of eating animals continue as long as we eat them. It is also said that we are taking our revenge by eating meat. We are stuck in the reincarnation cycle as long as we keep eating our enemies or relatives who have reincarnated as the animals. How do I know that I’m not eating my great-grandmother who passed away? I don’t know. But revenge can take other forms by the animals such as snakes.
I stick to my reason is that I have the rights to choose what to eat.
