The Meaning of Free
What does it mean to be free? Being single? Not in jail? Being healthy? The definition of free in Dictionary.com has quite a number of meanings. The adjective itself has 17 meanings.
I must be thankful that I am healthy at least enough to post this on my own. This unfortunate girl, whom I believe was born in the same year as me had pass away on May 27, 2006. She was fortunate that she had such caring family and a loving significant other supporting her.
Although it is proof that cancer being discovered at later stages means the mortality rate is lower, it is a test for the sufferer to summon the courage to face it.
In this case, I am free from major illness.

i cant help feeling very forlorn, helpless and lost reading blog entries of bloggers who have passed away. the hopes, aspirations, feelings, emotions … humaness penned while they are still part of this world haunts me.
one minute they are like you and me, with hopes and aspirations for tomorrow, and the other minute, the website is just a testimonial of their lives here. i just feel very tempted to leave a message and hope that the blogger will reply and tell you it’s all an april fool’s joke, but courage fails me because i know i am delusional to even hope so.
mortality is a word that strikes fear into the hearts of everyone, those alive anyway. life is a stage and we are the actors. we all have to exit this grand stage at one point or another. so let’s play our roles to the fullest and in the same spirit, live our lives to the fullest so that when it is our time to leave this stage, we shall leave it with longing, but no regrets.
